meet my youngest cousin ten-ten chan. she has the cutest, curly hair and the thickest eyelashes. :) i took this pic last month, when her family was here in pinas for the holiday season. they're back in japan now, though. mahiyain/suplada siya in person but sooooo kulit when on video chat. the trick to get her to warm up to you is to bring out a camera. once she sees a camera, she'll smile and be friendly na agad. cute noh? :) btw, she loves the computer/laptop - that's a computer mouse she's holding in this picture. she will probably grow up to be a techie kiddo someday. :)

Yesterday was my dad's 56th birthday so we had a lot of food in the house last night. And while I decided not to eat rice, I don't think I should be proud of having achieved that. 'Cause even though I did not have rice, I did eat A LOT. I had pancit canton + 2 heaping bowls of lomi + clubhouse sandwich(ES) + french fries + chocolates for dinner. Yeah. Glutton me struck again. Boooooo.

Oh, and to celebrate, my sister (who studies in UPLB) brought home a chocolate cake from Mer-Nel's. Mer-Nel's is popular for their heart-shaped choco cakes. I had a small slice and found that it was good but too sweet for my taste. (Pero mahina ang tolerance ko sa sweets so baka ako lang ung natatamisan masyado.) Anyway, Happy Birthday, Tata! :) (I call my dad Tata but my sister calls him Papa - thus the greeting on the cake. I think my brother calls him Tata too. Weird but that's just the way it is. We all - me, sis and bro - call our mom Mama, though.)

Gaaaah. I just realized that I missed today's episode of Junior Masterchef Pinoy Edition. I saw just the last few minutes of the show. :( (Mukhang sosyal ang mga batang contestants ha. :P) I was soooo looking forward to watching it because I loved JMC Australia. I wonder where I can stream this online...

Hmmm...

dad and the boob tube

Spotted: my dad watching One Tree Hill. I've caught him watching the show quite a few times now so I decided to take a pic.

Haha. I don't even get to watch one tree hill anymore! Maybe I should ask dad about the show's current storyline and character developments. Or ask him about the new characters who I don't even know. I think I stopped watching OTH after the 5th season. Dad probably knows more of the current season's cast than I do! :P

p.s. I think my dad's fave channel is ETC. Even when he channel surfs, he lingers more on etc than on any other channel. :D

ganging up on mama

This is me and my sister chatting about our mom's horrible singing voice. Everyone knows our mom can't sing on tune to save her life. Even my mom herself knows that. It's actually been a long time running joke with our relatives. But that doesn't deter her from hogging the microphone whenever we go to family gatherings. In fact, she bought our Magic Sing just for that purpose. To sing anytime she wants to.

So if I get off-key when I'm singing, please don't blame me. What can I say? I got it from my mama. :P
